HUD and the White House are trying to push through a rule that would evict tens of thousands of children into homelessness while costing hundreds of millions of dollars and result in more homelessness and fewer subsidized units—for no other reason than bigotry and hatred.  Read more about how HUD's proposal to evict immigrant families here.

Where ever possible, add your own story and your own words about this proposal and your experience with the housing crisis to make it personal. Here are the samples:

HUD should immediately withdraw this proposal that serves no purpose other than to terrorize families based on their skin color and country of origin.

HUD's own analysis shows that this proposal would lead to homelessness and less people served overall.  It runs completely counter to HUD's mission.

HUD's job is to fix the housing and homelessness crisis, not make it worse on the backs of our neighbors.

Instead of trying to make children and families homeless and pushing cuts to programs, HUD should be working to get more funding to build and repair public housing, provide the number of vouchers needed and enforce fair housing laws.
